APMP Announces Chapter and Individual Awards Winners

Association and Industry Accomplishments to be Celebrated in Orlando

The Association of Proposal Management Professionals® (APMP®) announced today its annual award winners for accomplishments and contributions to the association and industry in 2018. These outstanding individuals, companies, and chapters will be celebrated at the association’s upcoming 2019 Bid & Proposal Con (BPC), which will take place May 20-23, 2019, in Orlando, FL.

“We’ve recently adopted the #proudtobeAPMP campaign in our membership communications and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate how proud we all are to be APMP,” said Ginny Carson, APMP Chair. “These contributors are strengthening the professionalism in our industry every day and will be honored with these awards as the industry’s best.”

Proposal and bid management professionals from around the globe will gather for Bid & Proposal Con, where APMP will formally recognize its award winners for accomplishments in 2018, the 2019 class of APMP Fellows, and the third annual class of 40 Under 40 winners.

The following APMP Awards were announced today:

Bid & Proposal Team of the Year
Genpact, a global professional services firm, for rebuilding its proposal process into a cohesive, effective proposal development strategy that demonstrates industry best practices, thought leadership, and a commitment to the drive outcomes that resonated with the team’s stakeholders.

Chapter Communications Award
APMP’s National Capital Area, for its consistent member communications throughout the year, with particular emphasis on its effort to transition its eZine to a more interactive online format.

Chapter Member Connection Award
APMP Japan for its focus on supporting its members’ efforts to be APMP certified via study programs and innovative means of advancing the proposal profession with its Propothon.

Executive Summary of the Year
IBM, a global IT company, recognized for its Executive Summary submission, which was evaluated for industry best practices in writing, clarity, and persuasiveness.

Proposal and Bid Industry Executive of the Year
Kristy Zagorski, recognized as an industry professional who stands out as a thought leader for her efforts in promoting and advancing the profession, particularly in her proposal management leadership role at engineering firm Michael Baker International.

The Stephen P. Shipley Award for Chapter of the Year
APMP UK, for tirelessly working to elevate the profession of bid management in 2018, focusing on events and resources to support its members in their career pursuits.

Vendor of the Year
Upland Qvidian for its extensive contributions to thought leadership in the proposal management profession, and for supporting proposal and bid professionals worldwide by partnering with APMP.

APMP also recently announced the third annual class of 40 Under 40 winners, a program designed to recognize contributors who are young but have already made a noticeable impression on their companies and the overall profession. The 2019 class features professionals in the global bid and proposal industry who are winning big, revamping processes, facilitating teamwork, and giving back to their communities.
