Two New Board Members Approved to Join APMP’s Board of Directors in 2019

The Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP®) confirmed today that two members will join its Board of Directors in 2019.

Hermann Dillmann-Pflueger, CPP APMP, of the DACH Chapter in Germany, and Bruce Farrell, of Plante Moran and the Greater Midwest Chapter (GMWC) chapter, were confirmed this morning to serve as APMP Board of Director members starting January 1, 2019, continuing through December 31, 2020.

Mr. Dillmann-Pflueger is a retiring, more than 30-year, senior manager with Airbus Defence and Space – one of the largest companies in the world serving the defense industry in Europe. Airbus Defence and Space is also a long-standing APMP Platinum Corporate Member. He was elected on his goals to help APMP expand and grow its footprint in all of Europe and to create a European version of the APMP Body of Knowledge and APMP Glossary of Terms.

“Using a common language across borders is a prerequisite for our continuous pursuit for business improvements,” said Mr. Pflueger. “APMP can provide and promote such a common language so that we all understand the same, when we use certain words,” he added.

Mr. Farrell is a 14-year bid and proposal professional for Plante Moran and is based out of Detroit, MI. He has served as Chair of the GMWC, co-chair of the Chapter Liaison Committee, and he is one of Bid & Proposal Con’s highest rated speakers the last two years.

Mr. Farrell was elected for his commitment to helping APMP members connect with each other no matter where in the world they live and work, and to focus the association on producing more events to form those connections. He also has passion for design and specializes in bringing strong design principles to proposals, presentations, and all other business documents.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in the bid and proposal field.

“I’m honored to be elected to this role,” said Mr. Farrell. “I have benefited greatly from my association with APMP over the years, and I’m pleased with this opportunity to give something back.”

Mr. Dillmann-Pflueger and Mr. Farrell will join Ginny Carson, CPP APMP, of Life Cycle Engineering, who will serve as APMP Chair in 2019 along with 11 other APMP Board members.
