BerryDunn Hires New Business Development, Proposal Professionals
Mary Corley joined BerryDunn as a senior business development specialist, with her work focused on proposal writing for the firm’s Medicaid practice. She brings more than 30 years of Medicaid experience and over 25 years of experience in all aspects of the RFP process, including go/no-go analysis, content development, gathering written content and responses from multiple team members and compiling them into one document, proofreading, formatting and production/delivery.
Carolyn Del Vecchio joined the new business development team as a proposal writer for the justice and public safety practice. Most recently, she worked for the Minnesota attorney general’s office as a citizen’s assistance analyst, writing citizen letters and mediating between consumers and businesses. She spent almost one year in Đà Lạt, Vietnam, as a Fulbright Fellow with the U.S. Department of State; while there, she instructed 450 students to speak, listen and write in English.
Melanie Gordon joined the new business development team as a senior proposal writer. She is a former litigation attorney turned fundraising professional who worked in the education and nonprofit industries, helping secure financial support from government and institutional donors through the development of complex funding proposals.
Eliza Mathias joined the new business development team and is focused on managing opportunities in the Medicaid and Health and Human Services space. Her strengths in Medicaid thought leadership, revenue and growth planning, government affairs and public policy will be valuable as she helps identify new opportunities, assists in further developing growth and marketing strategies, and improves the proposal process.
Dannielle (Dannie) Wilson is a proposal writer on the new business development team. She also spends half her time as a consultant in the local practice area working on proactive opportunity development. Wilson specializes in parks and recreation program assessments, website assessments, organizational improvement, strategic and master planning, and grant administration, as well as additional project support services including accreditation attainment, pricing analysis, process management and trend analysis.
Nicole Backhaus is part of the new business development team as a proposal writer for the state practice. Most recently, she worked for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England as their grants coordinator. While there, Backhaus produced proposals, reports and other written materials for foundations and major donors, and researched and analyzed relevant public health data for use in development materials.
Michael Army joined the new business development team as a proposal writer for the commercial and financial services practices. Most recently, he worked as a proposal writer for a defense contractor, primarily focusing on foreign government projects. Before that, he served as a technical writer for a RF technology design and manufacturing company.

APMP-Member Podcast Reaches Milestone

Scribble Talk, a new weekly podcast for bid and proposal professionals, produced by APMP ATO Baachu Scribble and hosted by Ashley Kayes and Baskar Sundaram, has reached over 600 downloads.
