Through its members-first approach, APMP was able to achieve a new level of success in 2019, reinforcing the importance of empowering members professionally and providing opportunities for them to share their voice.
The 2019 APMP Annual Report highlights these achievements, showing growth in areas such as membership, certification participation and more.
Thanks to the 1,175 new members who joined the association last year, a new single-year membership growth record was set for APMP. Chapters went above and beyond to recruit industry colleagues to join, and two new benchmarking surveys offered another touchpoint for non-members to learn about the organization.
More people achieved APMP certification in 2019 than ever before, marking the fourth straight year of record growth. Participation in 2019 increased by 16.5% — from 1,433 to 1,669. In the 16-year history of the program, 11,771 certifications have been earned.
An important part of APMP’s core mission is to bring its members together through education — and it did just that. APMP held 12 webinars; 11,761 total people participated over the year. More than 1,000 people attended BPC 2019 — a 1.3% increase from 2016. The event sold out three weeks before it was held.
