APMP Introduces Career Accelerator Workshop

Bid and proposal professionals globally tell the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP®) that they want to take control of their careers to understand and accelerate their career opportunities.

APMP is responding with the APMP Career Accelerator Workshop – a new one-day professional development and education program designed to empower and enlighten participants about everything from resume optimization, writing a better LinkedIn profile, confidence building, how to negotiate for the appropriate salary, and strategies for work-life balance.

The event will be held Friday, December 7, in McLean, Va. Designed to help early-and-mid-career bid and proposal professionals, the workshop will offer take-home and ready-to-use, practical advice to help professionals proactively advance their careers.

“APMP owes it to members to help them become more aware of their professional development goals, realize their career goals, and understand that stepping forward will put them on a path that to help them and their employer succeed,” said Rick Harris, APMP Executive Director. “The APMP Career Accelerator Workshop is a one-day investment that will pay off for an entire career for both the individual attending and the company they represent.”

Through the workshop’s agenda, we want to help bid and proposal industry professionals learn how to:

  • Be their own best advocates in their organizations;
  • Positively and proactively help members negotiate promotions, salaries, and other benefits;
  • Build skills and confidence to network effectively;
  • Identify trends in the profession and know how to navigate their careers to anticipate these shifts in the industry;
  • And learn tips and techniques to become the most sought-after proposal professional in their companies.

If you have ever cared about your confidence, your salary, your career, and who you work for, this is a “can’t miss” workshop.  It is the single best investment you will make for yourself all year, and it is cost effective.

Registration is open, and APMP offers an early-bird discount until November 6 at 5 p.m. EST.

There will be 10 CEU’s available for attending this event.
