Metre Names Julie Dyer Chief Operating Officer to Support Growth

Metre, sales and proposal development consulting firm for U.S. health care companies, named Julie Dyer its chief operating officer as of Jan. 1, 2021. Dyer, founder of Balanced Proposals Services, became a partner in Metre after working with Metre’s CEO Robin Davis on several major projects over the last five years. Dyer brings over 26 years of health care industry experience and nearly 15 years of proposal development experience to Metre.
“Julie brings extensive industry knowledge and a focused discipline to her work,” Davis says. “I have increasingly come to rely on both her project and team leadership, as well as her thought partnership. Bringing her on board as my business partner was a no brainer, as our natural strengths complement each other. She excels at the things I don’t want to do and vice versa.”
With the firm’s 15-25% year-over-year growth since 2016, the new COO position will enable Metre to continue delivering the highest quality services to its clients, while also focusing on continued growth and expansion initiatives.
ASSOCIATION NEWS
Information Regarding Maintaining APMP Certification Through Continuing Education
Minor changes have been made in how members maintain APMP certification through continuing education units (CEUs). As APMP has grown through the 10,000 member mark, it has graduated from a small to a midsize association. The changes that have been made bring APMP’s CEU program in line with leading practices for midsize professional associations.
For the majority of APMP’s certified members, there will be no significant change in how CEUs are obtained. For some members, particularly those who would like to obtain CEUs for attending non-APMP events or using non-APMP materials, approval will need to be requested prior to submitting for those CEUs.
As the governing body for APMP’s professional certifications, the association has put these changes in place to ensure greater accountability over the materials people are using to obtain CEUs (for example, APMP does not want to issue CEUs for materials that contradict or teach alternatives to what is approved and examined in the certifications themselves.)
Review the requirements for CEUs and how to obtain them. More information on this will be available in the coming weeks.
