APMP Board of Directors Elects First Member Advisory Council

Last week, the APMP Board of Directors selected 13 association members to serve on the first assembly of the Member Advisory Council (MAC).

The MAC is born of a recommendation put forth by the APMP Brand Transition Council last year to heighten member engagement, listen to what members think about the association, and solicit member feedback.

APMP members in good standing were invited to self-nominate to serve on the MAC in an open call to all members. Nominees completed a MAC candidate application to help determine the successful participants.

Steven Coles, CPP APMP, Chair of APMP, said the APMP Board of Directors voted for 13 inaugural MAC members from a pool of 65 applications.

“We were thrilled to receive 65 applications from around the world and selected the 13 successful candidates last week,” said Coles. “I am delighted with the MAC’s diversity across gender, ethnicity, geography, association tenure, and industry experience. The MAC is a wonderful representation of our association membership and an important part of our objective to deliver a sustainable, premium membership experience worldwide. I look forward to working with the MAC.”

The MAC comprises APMP members from the United Kingdom, Romania, South Africa, India, Australia and the United States, with eleven women and two men serving. They are:

  • Rebecca Link, CP APMP, NCA Chapter (Chair)
  • Anita Wright, CPP APMP Fellow, Western Chapter
