APMP Names Julia Duke As Its Chief Operating Officer

Ashburn, VA – December 1, 2022 – APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals), the global association for bid and proposal professionals worldwide, announced today the promotion of Julia Duke to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ms. Duke has been with APMP for five years and was most recently the association’s Director of Business Development.

Ms. Duke will be responsible for the daily business and operations of APMP and will report to and partner with APMP’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in addition to her ongoing responsibilities for revenue generation and management of APMP’s Member Value Team.

“Julia’s outstanding record of success in areas critical to the association’s fiscal and membership health is well documented,” said Rick Harris, APMP’s CEO. “She is an association industry leader in event management, member engagement, corporate member/sponsorship relations, and customer service. Her work is outstanding, she is respected by the membership and loved by the staff. Julia’s positive spirit and her innovative style has helped APMP grow exponentially in recent years.”

In her position as Director of Business Development, Duke was instrumental in establishing the Member Value Team and providing a one-stop resource for all APMP members. In addition, her programs have helped APMP to increase membership, elevate the member experience, and grow revenue for APMP.

Duke brings over 25 years of customer service experience, of which five were with APMP, into her new role. She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Shenandoah University, is currently working to complete an M.B.A. degree, and has her Foundation-level APMP certification.

“I am passionate about adding value to APMP members, creating a culture of inclusion and excellence for all members, and supporting the bid and proposal industry. This new position is a fantastic opportunity to be able to do all those things and more,” said Ms. Duke.
