New Orleans, Louisiana – June 3, 2024 – Today, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) officially launched its brand-new learning initiative: The APMP Leadership Academy!
The APMP Leadership Academy is the only comprehensive leadership program designed specifically for the bid and proposal industry. It is a six-month hybrid learning journey comprised of live-online learning, as well as offline learning milestones.
The Academy’s inaugural class will receive eight modules full of career-boosting skills and knowledge, culminating in a prestigious and highly-respected industry certification.
The concept of the Leadership Academy was initially announced at last year’s BPC in Orlando by then Vice Chair David Gray. After a year of hard work and development, this year’s BPC New Orleans saw David – now the Chair – announce the official opening of applications.
“I’m thrilled to announce that, today, the Leadership Academy is ready for its first cohort of APMP members to enrol,” David said this morning. “The APMP Leadership Academy is the first leadership program of its kind that is directly tailored to the bid and proposal industry.”
The program has been designed by expert leaders to accelerate the career trajectory of professionals within the bid and proposal field. It explores industry-specific learning scenarios and guides students through applying their knowledge to their professional lives in real time.
“We have spent the last year curating a curriculum of leadership learning and development in partnership with members and leadership coaching experts,” David added. “I’m very passionate about leadership, and this is an incredible program that I cannot wait for our members to see and learn more about.”
