We are saddened to hear about the passing of APMP member, Christine Bodnar Diaz, on January 18th, 2023. She was 51 years old.
Christine is “survived by her daughters Katie and Bowie Diaz of Concord, Massachusetts; her mother Elizabeth Bodnar, sister Samantha Collier, brother-in-law Brack Collier, and nephew John Collier, all of Harrisonburg, Virginia, as well as countless close friends who miss her dearly.”1
According to Jon Williams of Strategic Proposals, “Christine was hugely active in the very earliest days of APMP UK. She was always hugely passionate about APMP and the importance of proposals.” Christine’s passion for bids and proposals led her to successful careers at companies like Hewlett-Packard, Gartner, SAP, Mercer, and most recently NVIDIA. Jon remembers her as “one of the very best of the best in the bid and proposal profession.”
Matthew Hull of NVIDIA said, “Christine joined NVIDIA in May of 2022 to build the NVIDIA Enterprise Proposal Center. As NVIDIA continues its journey into the Enterprise AI market, we needed someone who could help build a solid proposal program, and there was no one more highly recommended than Christine. Christine quickly became a cherished member of the NVIDIA family and was highly respected and valued by everyone at NVIDIA. She knew the proposal management business inside and out and quickly built a meaningful Proposal Center for NVIDIA. In addition to her professional expertise, she was such a positive person and brought tremendous joy to those that were fortunate enough to interface with her. We here at NVIDIA are absolutely heartbroken over the passing of Christine and will fondly remember the person she was, and the positive impact she made on all of us at NVIDIA.”
Aside from being a loving mother and successful businesswoman, Christine was also a “lover of literature, talented writer, generous volunteer and curious traveler of the world.”2
APMP extends our condolences to Christine’s family and friends.
