Tim Snell, CPP APMP, Senior Director Bid & Capture Europe & Asia at ICF has been named APMP’s new Deputy Chief Examiner, a vital volunteer position to assist current Chief Examiner Cathy Day with all aspects of APMP’s online and in-person Foundation, Practitioner and Professional Certification.
Snell was one of three APMP members that applied for the position through an open call for nominations. A search committee selected him for his deep international business and APMP certification experience, his tireless support of APMP certification at other global events and for his role in championing certification in a diverse number of organizations.
He will work closely with the APMP’s Chief Examiner and APMP’s certification body, the APM Group, to better serve APMP’s membership base and ensure that its growing certification programs meet the same high standards the program has delivered for 15 years.
“Tim will join the APMP certification team this May at BPC in Orlando, and will lead the association’s Professional Primer Workshop,” said Ginny Carson, chair of APMP. “We invite all members to reach out and congratulate Tim on this appointment, and we are excited to have him be a part of APMP and help lead our association through the robust growth and roll-out of our new certification programs,” said Carson.
“Working with APMP in this way is a real privilege and I am looking forward to serving the profession and its members as Deputy Chief Examiner. Over the years I have witnessed first-hand the very positive impact APMP and Certification has had on people’s career development. This is an exciting phase in APMP’s Certification evolution and I’m thrilled to be working with Cathy and the team,” Tim said.
Snell has been an active member of APMP for almost ten years, joining the Association from Dubai and helping to create a pool of APMP certified members in the Middle East. He is an acknowledged advocate of best practices and standards through his work as an APMP authorized trainer and assessor, a mentor at Practitioner Completion workshops, and a presenter at Bid & Proposal Con and the UK APMP Conference.
His experience driving strategy and change in all dimensions of proposals and business development, along with his passion for coaching and leadership development made him the ideal selection. Tim has experience in a broad expanse of APMP’s geographic footprint. He serves clients in the Americas, EMEA, and the Asia Pacific for both business and government clients. Tim is Australian, based in London and currently works at ICF, a strategic consultancy that helps businesses and governments solve some of the world’s most complex problems.
