APMP Search for Deputy Chief Examiner Candidates

APMP has created a new volunteer position for the association’s new Deputy Chief Examiner.  The role is being established to assist current Chief Examiner Cathy Day with all aspects of APMP’s online and in-person Foundation, Practitioner and Professional Certification.

The newly created Deputy Chief Examiner is a volunteer position within APMP and the association’s certification governing body, the APM Group.  The Deputy Chief Examiner will work closely with Ms. Day to better serve APMP’s membership base and ensure that its growing certification programs meet the same high standards the program has delivered for 15 years.

“Certification is the heart and soul of APMP,” said Ginny Carson, chair of APMP.  “As APMP continues to add certification programs globally, we need additional help to ensure that every member has a smooth certification experience and can capitalize on all that APMP certification can deliver.  This resource will add momentum and support APMP’s certification programs moving forward,” she said.

APMP’s certification programs have seen record growth every year since the program’s inception in 2002.  There are now more than 11,320 bid and proposal professionals certified worldwide at one of the three APMP certification levels.  The Foundation level is the fastest of the three established certification programs with a little more than 10,147 certifications awarded.

Rick Harris, CEO of APMP, said Deputy Chief Examiner candidates will need to tick a lot of boxes to be considered for this volunteer position.  “The successful candidate will need to think global, have international business acumen and have deep experience with APMP’s current certification offerings.  Those are all must-haves in APMP’s rapidly developing certification environment,” he said.
