Candidates were invited to self-nominate into an open election earlier this month and apply to any of the above officer positions that interested them. Each submitted a narrative with the office(s) sought as part of their ballot.
Chapter members were asked to vote by secret ballot for their first and second choice for each position. The officers with the most votes won their positions.
Also, two new Committees were formed and will be led by:
- Daciana Calistru, Committee Head of Membership/Marketing committee
- Mihai Chitu, Committee Head, Start-Up Committee
Brad Douglas, Executive Vice President of Global Strategy for Shipley Associates and the founder of the APMP Romania Chapter with Vicki Griesinger of Microsoft, organized the election and certified the results on behalf of APMP. The new Board members will now take over the day-to-day planning and execution of the chapter.
Early goals include: scheduling chapter meetings, planning and producing an educational webinar, and recruiting new bid, proposal and business development professionals into the chapter.
APMP Romania is the sixth APMP European chapter and the 29th overall. It will be joined this year by two additional new APMP chapters in France and the Middle East/North Africa.
