APMP Announces New Vice-Chair for 2020

Krystn Macomber (Gull), CP APMP Fellow, LEED AP from the California Chapter, is the newly elected Vice-Chair of the APMP Board for 2020. She was elected by the APMP Board of Directors and becomes the association’s Vice-Chair in 2020, Chair in 2021, and the Past Chair in 2022.

Macomber serves as the marketing + pursuit strategy manager for Burns & McDonnell’s California regional operations, where she is responsible for strategic marketing and pursuit efforts across the state. She leads pursuits, facilitates customer account strategies, implements marketing campaigns, and manages a team of proposal strategists.

She has more than 17 years of experience in various marketing and pursuit roles within the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry. Her career has been dedicated to developing and implementing holistic marketing, sales, and pursuit processes that align with best practices and win work.

“I am incredibly honored for the opportunity to serve APMP in this leadership role and give back to the association that has already given me so much. As someone who entered this profession ‘by accident,’ I am excited to focus on building the next generation of proposal professionals. There will be a day when this is an intentional career path and APMP will be at the forefront.” said Macomber.

“Krystn has a long history with APMP, having served as a Board Member, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Chapter Liaison Committee and is currently the director of the APMP California Chapter’s Professional Development program,” said Ginny Carson, CPP APMP and APMP’s Chair. “Krystn’s deep roots in APMP International and at the local chapter level will provide a unique advantage as she prepares to be part of the leadership team at APMP,” she said.

Macomber’s Vice-Chair term starts on January 1, 2020, where she will join new Board members Jody Alves, Felix Becker, Alison Coon, Patrick Gueth, Blake Inkster, and Melissa Smith. As APMP’s new Vice-Chair, she will replace Mike Walsh, who ascends to Chair of APMP. She will also join APMP’s Executive Committee starting at the first of the year.

APMP is led by a 15-person Board, which meets bi-monthly virtually and annually in person at APMP’s Bid & Proposal Con, held next year in Nashville, TN.
